That means that we place a strong emphasis on the framing of the court with sympathetic fencing and design features that make your court every bit as attractive as its surroundings.

For that reason we designed and developed our patented obelisk fencing system. Take a look at the gallery on the left and you will see that some of our fencing is, to all intents and purposes, invisible, Take a look at the court that doesn't look it has a fence - believe us it's there…

We have also developed and supplied practice walls that are so discrete you would hardly know - they were there. One client in Yorkshire contacted us this year to point out that we had forgotten to install his practice wall.

The attention to detail that we give to our courts includes the superb quality of our fencing systems. Our Heritage Fencing System uses using sturdy high-quality fence posts with ball caps for true country estate elegance. Alternatively you can surround your tennis court with the newpatented Obelisk concept which provides a support for colourful climbing plants, and brings grace and elegance to the playing environment. The new court surrounds from Anglia and Midland will totally transform your court's environment. You can choose from two distinctive styles, based on either our obelisk or tubular support columns, or a combination of both.

Our fencing systems are designed to look good from close up and to blend harmoniously into their surroundings from a distance. For that reason, the pictures we have chosen on this page really don't show the quality, style and elegance of our fencing systems. But that's the only way you will get to see the fence. Hard to believe? Well, just take a look at the fencing system below, which was installed for a client with a Texplay II surface. It's barely visible and allows the court to merge seamlessly with the rest of the garden.


OBELISK SUPPORTS
Strong and durable gothic-style supports, with slender stanchions. As the picture on the right shows, these are far more attractive, safer and less "box like" than angle iron fencing and netting. Obelisks use taper effect columns with rings of increasing size to give more strength. Columns are designed to support vigorous plant growth such as honeysuckle, clematis and roses.

The overall effect is  further enhanced by a range of top finial designs - including circular, arrow head, acorn, ball or other designs to order. Constructed of welded 12mm steel bar to withstand the strongest storm. Hot-dip galvanised, treated with a mordant etch and then painted with a high quality paint coating for a long-lasting, rustproof finish.

Available in dark green or black - the latter merges best with a country landscape. Foundations are bored down to a full depth and then concrete-filled for great stability. Matching obelisk style gates are available. Surround heights can be varied to give added effect and a netting-free view for spectators. The AMSS obelisk system is attractive and unobtrusive. In the foreground of the picture above, the obelisk is a visible attractive feature of the court fencing. The obelisks at the back, against the hedge, are practically invisible from a distance, which  allows for a natural blending between the court and garden landscaping. One of the great beauties of the obelisk system is that it is designed to support plant growth, its slender gothic stanchions are attractive to the eye and also provide the perfect base for climbing plants such as honeysuckle, clematis and roses. The frame also gives all the strength it needs to withstand severe storms.

The result is tennis courts which blend harmoniously into their garden environment. To escape from box-like effect of angle iron, the surround heights can also be varied - for example with a high back and low sides. This further enhances the aesthetic appeal of the surrounds, giving uninterrupted lines of sight and enabling spectators to have a clearer view of the match. The whole experience of playing on a garden tennis court is enhanced.

HERITAGE FENCE SUPPORTS
Our Heritage tubular fencing is a superior quality product. It is made from 48mm diameter thick wall tube for gate and corner-posts, and 42mm diameter thick wall tube for intermediate posts.  All posts are galvanised, etch primed and painted green or black. It is available with or without acorn finials on top and gives a clean modern look to a tennis court surround. Tube is far stronger than traditional angle iron, and can, like obelisk, be concreted to full depth and provide foundation for the edgings. Ball finials on tube fencing can give a look of estate fencing. Acorn finials, pictured right, also give a distinctive and pleasing finish to tubular posts.
